President’s Report May 2024

Hello,

Spring has finally arrived in Arnold! I hope everybody had a great winter and is now enjoying the fabulous weather.

We have an upcoming election for the BLSMWC Board of Directors. We are fortunate to have 4 extremely qualified people running for 3 Director positions. By now, you have received the ballot information, biographies of the candidates running for the Board, as well as information regarding the annual shareholder meeting. Last year we added online voting, which was a success – you just need to go to our website at www.blsmwc.com and there is a prompt for voting.

Our annual Shareholders meeting will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at our offices at 1011 Blagen Road. You can also attend via Zoom.

Lastly, after 8 years of service on the Board of Directors, Director Andy Rich resigned in March 2024. During Andy’s service, he attended more than 50 Board meetings and 7 shareholder meetings. Andy brought his extensive expertise in running a company efficiently and cost-effectively, and he provided invaluable advice and direction to the Board and the Water Company. His expertise will be missed.
